April is here, spring is in the air and it's time to sign your children up for a summer reading program!
Of course it only makes sense that kids who participate in summer reading programs arrive at the next school year ahead of their peers but I never knew how big of benefit it could be!
The research supporting the positive impact of summer reading programs is staggering! I found a great summary at a local St. Charles reading center's website the other day and I'll post a link to it as soon as I find the darn thing again!
